Sportradar will retain exclusive global distribution rights for EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup official data and audiovisual betting content through 2031.

Sportradar has extended its agreement with EuroLeague Basketball for the exclusive global distribution of official data and audiovisual betting rights for the EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup.

The agreement was announced on 26 August 2026. It begins with the 2026-27 season and covers more than 650 games each year, according to Sportradar.

What the deal could change in Great Britain

Great Britain sportsbooks could gain access to more official match data and live audiovisual content from one of Europe’s major basketball competitions.

The rights may support betting products such as:

  • Live microbetting markets
  • Player-focused markets
  • Markets based on in-game events and performance data

Official data can help operators price markets, update odds and settle bets. Access will depend on separate commercial agreements between Sportradar and individual operators.

The agreement does not require every Great Britain operator to offer the markets.

Why Sportradar’s licence status matters

The Gambling Commission’s public register lists Sportradar AG under account number 39663. The entry shows an active remote gambling software licence dating from 30 March 2015. It also lists an active remote licence for virtual events.

A remote licence is required for gambling supplied online or through other remote means in Great Britain. The register entry confirms Sportradar AG’s licensing position in that jurisdiction.

It does not establish regulatory coverage for Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

More live markets, more compliance pressure

Microbetting and player markets create more opportunities to place bets during live events. They also increase the need for accurate data, rapid settlement and effective controls against suspicious activity.

Sportradar said it will continue providing EuroLeague Basketball with integrity services. These include bet monitoring and education designed to help prevent match-fixing.

Those services are separate from the commercial rights agreement. They do not replace the compliance duties of Great Britain licence holders.

The immediate impact is commercial, not a change to British gambling law. No new Gambling Commission rule or licence condition was announced with the deal.

For the British market, the main change is that Sportradar will remain the exclusive global distributor of the covered official data and audiovisual betting rights through 2031.
