Premier Padel and the International Padel Federation will introduce formal betting integrity monitoring from the 2027 season. The announcement in London on September 28, 2026, gives Sportradar responsibility for detecting suspicious betting patterns as the sport prepares to expand its official betting offer.

The partnership combines two separate roles. Sportradar will monitor betting activity through its Universal Fraud Detection System.

Northern Ireland-based iGame Media will provide official betting data, low-latency streaming technology and distribution for the full professional men’s and women’s Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour.

Padel’s commercial betting expansion will arrive with an integrity system designed to identify unusual activity before it becomes a wider problem.

Why the timing matters

The official betting ecosystem is planned to begin with the 2027 season. Premier Padel says it will cover more than 2,400 matches across its professional tour.

That could give sportsbooks and their technology suppliers a much larger supply of pre-match and live betting content. It also creates more opportunities for unusual activity to be detected around individual points, games and matches.

Padel’s rapid scoring and frequent momentum shifts make it well suited to in-play markets. Those same features can make close monitoring more important as the number of available markets grows.

Sportradar says its Universal Fraud Detection System combines betting-market analysis with expert review. It is designed to alert sporting partners to patterns that may indicate match-fixing.

An alert is not proof that a match was fixed. Any finding would require further assessment by the relevant sporting and regulatory authorities.

A data product, not a new licence

For Great Britain, the announcement changes the supply side of the market. It does not automatically give any sportsbook permission to accept bets.

Operators targeting customers in England, Scotland and Wales still need the appropriate Gambling Commission licence. They must also meet the regulator’s licence conditions and codes of practice.

The Gambling Commission says licensed operators should report suspicious betting activity to the regulator and relevant sports governing bodies. British authorities can share information with sports organisations, overseas regulators and law enforcement when a case may involve match-fixing, bribery or fraud.

Official data and streaming do not remove an operator’s responsibility. Sportsbooks must still control their markets, protect customer accounts, manage inside-information risks and respond to integrity alerts.

The Belfast connection

iGame Media is headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The company supplies live sports content and technology to betting operators and platforms.

Companies House records show iGame Media Limited as an active company registered in Belfast. That gives the partnership a clear UK industry connection, but it does not amount to Gambling Commission licensing in England, Scotland or Wales.

Northern Ireland operates under a separate gambling framework from Great Britain. The distinction matters for operators and customers assessing where a betting service is licensed.

What happens next

The integrity framework is scheduled to operate alongside the official data and streaming product from the 2027 season.

The International Padel Federation also says it is developing further education, prevention and reporting measures for players, coaches, officials and national federations.

  • Sportsbooks: an official padel feed could widen the range of live markets offered to customers.
  • Regulators: betting signals could provide earlier intelligence about unusual activity.
  • Players and officials: education and reporting channels will become more important as betting interest grows.
  • Customers: the new product does not change the need to use licensed operators in Great Britain.

Padel is entering the betting market with safeguards built into the launch plan. The real test will be whether the sport can expand its betting offer while identifying risks quickly and handling them before they develop into integrity scandals.
